Our mission is to connect fans with the magic of Japanese storytelling, creativity, and culture. From anime screenings to live performances and workshops, JPEX is where dreams come to life.
About JPEX
Our Story
We are a group of Emiratis, born and raised in Dubai. Over the years, we developed a deep admiration for Japanese culture. It all began with anime, and through that passion, we were inspired to explore other aspects of this fascinating culture.
Our love for Japan truly blossomed during our first visit in 2018. Immersing ourselves in the authentic beauty of Japanese traditions, we experienced the warmth and kindness of its people, which left a lasting impression on us. It was during these interactions that we truly understood and appreciated the essence of “Omotenashi” —the spirit of Japanese hospitality.
Motivated by our experiences, we wanted to share our passion and bridge the gap between Emirati and Japanese cultures. This vision led to the creation of the JPEX Entertainment Exhibition—a platform t o celebrate Japanese culture and connect people from diverse backgrounds through shared appreciation and understanding.
Meet Our Mascot
SUHAIL
Our Mascot is inspired by the Japanese Folklore of the spirit for «Kitsune». SUHAIL in Arabic means noble, glorious, and is the name given to a bright star in the sky. We chose the name SUHAIL for our Mascot since we believe that the bright star symbolizes guidance and celestial beauty, traits that aligns with the mythical nature of a Kitsune.
